The RAW Sport Drink rider finishes third in the Italian Grand Prix of Moto3TM
The Italian Grand Prix never leaves us indifferent. Mugello Circuit always has very exciting races and the winner does not decide to cross the finish line; this time, up to 8 riders would fight for the victory in the last lap. Among them, the RAW Sport Drink rider Jaume Masia who would be placed first at the start of the last lap after a spectacular comeback. Finally, the victory would be taken by the local rider Tony Arbolino, followed by his compatriot Lorenzo Dalla Porta and Jaume Masia.
After this result, Masia already has three podiums and a pole position in 2019; victory in Argentina, second in America and third in Italy. Going up to the fourth position in the overall classification of the Moto3TM World Championship and placing 18 points in the lead.
At the end of the Italian Grand Prix, Jaume Masia commented:
"It was a race in which I pushed a lot, but on the straight it was impossible to overtake them. I made some mistakes at the beginning of the race and at the physical level it was very demanding due to the strong heat. But we are very satisfied, we have to improve the bike more because in a circuit like this it is very difficult to be in the lead. We have achieved another podium and points for the championship; I want to thank my team, my father and my mother, this race is dedicated to all of them."
The Grand Prix of Catalunya will be the next race. From June 14 to 16 in Montmeló (Barcelona).
