The toughness of the stages put the MotoGP rider to the limit, but his physical form was always above the circumstances. Aleix Espargaró stated that constantly hydrating was also a key factor in keeping pace. Espargaró and Zugasti finished the Cape Epic 2019 with a total time of 29 hours and 54 minutes, an average of 21.06 km/h. 3 hours and 44 minutes of the champions of this edition, the Swiss team formed by Nino Schurter and Lars Forster.
